Causes Of Infertility
Its the dream of almost all women to be a mother someday, but unfortunately there are some ladies who are not able to experience the joy of motherhood. There maybe many reasons for infertility in a women, some may be treated whereas others are irreversible.
A women can be infertile due to a side effect of some disease, any problems in the reproductive organs, hormonal imbalance and sometimes due to other reasons like stressful lifestyle that includes stressed job, exercise, family problems.
One of the most common reasons for infertility is pelvic inflammatory disease, that causes infection in and around the pelvic area and reproductive organs. This infection maybe caused due to Sexually Transmitted Diseases like gonorrhea or due to the use of Intrauterine Contraceptive Device, abortion or surgery. If the infection is not treated then it may worsen and spread and causing infertility.
Even hormonal imbalance can cause infertility in a woman. This imbalance maybe caused due to thyroid deficiencies which is sometimes produced more, sometimes less. Increased secretion of this hormones may prevent ovulation. Hormonal imbalance may also cause problems in the women’s ovaries preventing it from producing an egg.
Sometimes thanks to some troubles, the immune system in a woman;s body may release antibodies or immune cells that causes a hostile environment for the sperm by attacking them. The Autoimmune diseases also causes other health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure which alo contributes to infertility.
Addiction to prescription pills or excess consumption of other medications like anti depressants, anti biotics, pain killers, hormonal etc, also contributes to temporary infertility.Thanks to anorexia or over exercises, some women also experience premature menopause.
Sometimes due to benign growths or fibroids in the uterus, fallopian tubes or the cervix blocks the sperms from reaching the ovaries and fertilizing the eggs. That besides other abnormalities in the reproductive organs contribute to permanent infertility. Weak Uterine muscles causes infrequent and abnormal contractions that fal to push the sperm up the fallopian tubes.
Surgeries in the abdominal area or other surgical complications may result in scar tissues that may get infected and cause problems in conceiving.Women who have undergone multiple abortion or have had too many abortion pills can also cause infertility. There are many reasons why a lady may become infertile, some reasons are due to our carelessness and with a little change in habit and leading a healthy lifestyle will help prevent you from being infertile.
