Get Pregnant With PCOS

According to a report more than 25% of women suffer from Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome known as PCOS. This disease is still being studied and one can only make guesses as to why PCOS occurs in some women and not in others.

The ill effect of PCOS is the inability of a woman to conceive easily. Medical help is of course available for women who want to get pregnant with PCOS. However, there are a few things that can be initiated by a woman herself in order to conceive.

Women suffering with PCOS often skip periods. Thus it becomes difficult to predict if a woman will become pregnant and when will she become pregnant. One method of regularizing periods is by taking birth control pills. Over a period of time birth control pills help normalize the menstrual cycle making it easier for the woman to know the days that are best for conceiving.

The conception will of course take place once the birth control pills are discontinued. Once you stop taking the pills buy yourself an ovulation kit from a drug store. The ovulation kit will help you know when you ovulate. Even if you skip your period the kit will determine your ovulating days.

You might not be ejecting the lining from your body but your body would still be producing eggs. As long as ovulation happens there are fair chances of you getting pregnant. Do not neglect your diet at any time. Eat regularly and eat proper food. Include green vegetables and fresh fruits in your diet daily.

Take vitamin supplements to make up for any vitamins that you might not be getting in your diet. Discuss your diet with a nutritionist. You would be surprised to know that there are certain foods which can increase chances of becoming pregnant. By taking the right nutrition you can even fight PCOS.

Also drink plenty of water so that the food that you eat gets digested well.
Exercise regularly and maintain an optimal weight. Being over-weight can also hamper your chances of conceiving. But exercising does not mean pushing your body to its limits.

Your body also requires adequate rest. A well-rested body is better able to perform bodily functions. Do not stress yourself out over not being able to conceive. The stress will not only disrupt your mental peace but also hinder your performance sexually. Stress is a major factor for infertility. See the act of conceiving as a loving and relaxed process.
