Headache During Pregnancy: Causes and Remedies

First, you can use compresses to relieve headache, especially migraine. Application of both cold and hot compress on neck as well as the forehead may offer immediate relief. The second tip is to take cold shower regularly, which may help to constrict dilated blood vessels. Even if taking regular shower is unlikely, splashing your face with cold water will offer relief form headache.

Another remedy for pregnancy headache is massage. It can be a soothing and quite relaxing experience apart from being enjoyable. But only a trained therapist should administer such a massage. Headache is also caused by low blood sugar level. As such, always you not keep your body in want for food and water. Stick to a recommended pregnancy diet and eat small meals at regular intervals. Also keeping your body well hydrated will help. Lastly, it is also important that you get enough rest and sleep and keep off stress.
