Healthy Snacks for Toddlers

Many a times you wonder that apart from milk, cereals, fruits, are there any other snacks that are tasty as well as healthy for the small kids. Well, good news is that there are quiet a few snacks that are perfect for child’s good health. Just make sure that you don’t make any snacks with high fat cheese, lot of sugar, heavy cream, etc. All these would prove to be extremely heavy and indigestible for the toddlers.

Following are the recipes that will tingle the taste buds of your toddlers and are extremely nutritious at the same time:

Honey muesli bar recipe:

The honey muesli recipe tastes great and will be absolutely loved by your tiny toddlers. As the recipe name suggest, this recipe would include honey and muesli along with dried apple, oranges, strawberry, apricot and hazelnut. This recipe is yummier and healthier for your tiny tots.

Fruit salad with milk:

Fruit with milk is an extremely nutritious combination for the babies. Fruits are sweet in taste and healthy too. Take various fruits such as apple, orange, strawberry, grapes, mango, peach, apricot, cherry etc and cut them in to fine pieces. Mix these pieces and put some skimmed milk on the top. Mix properly and add some dried fruits as toppings.

Macaroni and Cheese:

Macaroni and cheese combination actually makes it pasta. Pastas are considered to be good source of carbohydrates and macaroni are considered to be good source of protein and calcium. Boil the small macaroni in a small bowl. Once boiled, put low fat cheese and skimmed milk in the macaroni bowl. Mix all these ingredients together. Put some salt and garnish with few bread crumbs.

Vegetable soup:

Vegetable soup is tasty as well as healthy for the kids. Vegetable soup is good for infants as well. Infact, vegetable recipe is apt for kids who do not like chewing on vegetables.   Take various vegetables such as tomato, beetroot, carrot, onion, cabbage etc and chop them properly. Once you have chopped them, put them in the pressure cooker and add water in it for boiling. Add little bit of salt and pepper. Once done, put some whipped cream and coriander leaves on the top for garnishing.

Vegetable roll:

This is a yummy roll, which will be a major hit with your little one. Take wheat flour, and prepare dough out of it. Add little salt in the dough.  Once the dough is made, roll the dough and make bread like round pancake out of it. Take all the vegetables such as potato, cauliflower, green peas, beetroot and boil them. Once boiled, add grated onion and tomato along with salt, pepper, lime juice and sauté it for a while. Once the stuffing is prepared, put the stuffing inside the round bread and your vegetable role is all done.
