Miscarriage is a very scaring word for pregnant women. More than 10% pregnant women go through this tragic phase. Therefore 90% pregnant want to avoid miscarriage at any cost. Here are some tips how to avoid miscarriage. Smoking is one of the main causes of miscarriage. When you smoke your blood absorbs nicotine in it and passes to your fetus which causes brain damage or nerves damage or even miscarriage. Even if there is no miscarriage, your child will be born with too many physical and mental abnormalities. Therefore to avoid miscarriage you must avoid smoking.

Similar to smoking, alcohol too harms your unborn child which generally leads to miscarriage. As in the case of smoking, if you are lucky and don’t face miscarriage, your child will be born with many mental and physical disabilities.

Caffeine is one major cause of miscarriage. Drinking too many cups of coffee during pregnancy may cause your unborn child brain damage or many health complications after he or she is born because the caffeine passes through your blood stream and reach your fetus which is extremely harmful for him. Therefore you must avoid caffeine, smoking and alcohol.

Age is another factor responsible for miscarriage. It is understood pregnant women who are above 35 are likely to go through miscarriage phase because their eggs do not remain as healthy as younger women. However, some women keep themselves fit through proper diet and exercise, and thus don’t find any problem during pregnancy even after 35. To avoid miscarriage after 35, you need to keep yourself healthy through exercise and healthy diet.

Stress, especially sudden shock too causes miscarriage. You can avoid miscarriage by changing your attitude towards life and by avoiding stress.

You should avoid going on any adventurous tour to avoid miscarriage. Dangerous games like bungee jumping, mountaineering, etc. should be strictly avoided to prevent miscarriage. While climbing down stairs you must remain alert.

By eating healthy diet also you can prevent miscarriage. You should add foods full of vitamins, minerals, fiber, omega 3 fatty acids etc. Drinking plenty of water is also necessary. You should also take at least 8 hours sleep. Keep yourself strictly away from the feces of cats which may pass toxoplasmosis and cause miscarriage.

However if you observe any peculiar health problem during pregnancy, you must see your doctor immediately to avoid miscarriage.
