Learning Disability is a kind of genetic problem which affects around 30% children every year. Then too most of the parents are not aware of the Learning Disability in kids. Parents generally think that if their child is repeating the same mistakes again and again then it is due to negligence or the child is becoming stubborn.
The result is frequent beating or getting angry at the kid. They never get to realise that their child might be suffering from Learning Disability as they never are aware of the symptoms or any such disease like learning disability. Children suffering from learning Disability are different from the normal kids. These children are not able to give their best even if given a chance to do so and even if they try very hard. Although their mental level, listening and seeing skills are the same as normal kids. They do not suffer from any type of behavioural or emotional problem too.
How to find Learning Disability?
Since learning disability is heredity disease which is in the child since the day he is born. But it takes time for this problem to show up because till the time the child has an interaction with reading and writing the parents will not realise the problem. Generally this problem gets noticed when the child starts reading or writing say after 2 to 3 classes.
Here the child is required to identify and write words which he is not able to do because the child is suffering from learning disability. Thus he does not recognise the words and letters so he is unable to speak or write or identify them correctly. There is no difference in the Intelligent Quotient of the child suffering from learning disability and a normal child. But the child suffering from learning disability is unable to reply any questions related to reading or writing.

Pre-mature babies or babies suffering from some problems just after birth might also suffer from learning disability. Generally when the child is small and does any mistake in his studies we try to ignore them as silly mistakes because he is a kid and still learning the things or if the mistakes get repeated many times we just think that it might be due to the ignorance of the child. We just start scolding or beating the child without trying to find out the real reason behind his mistakes. It is not necessary that every time he commits a mistake it is due to carelessness or ignorance or he just wants to play.
