First of all, you have to increase your fluid intake. Take 10-12 glasses of plain water everyday. Apart from softening the stool, water is the most important element which can keep your body hydrated. Also, you can take fruit juices and add more of soups to your diet to increase the fluid intake. Secondly, include more fiber-rich foods in your daily meals.
Breakfast cereals, green vegetables, fruits, and wholegrain breads are rich in fiber. Thirdly, check if your calcium intake is beyond the recommended level. An increased intake of calcium can trigger constipation. Lastly, you should maintain a moderate exercise routine to keep your body fit and free from unwanted and preventable problems.
