A balanced diet is the basic part of good health especially at the time when you are pregnant. Eating the right way not only keeps you healthy but it also keeps your baby fit. If you are planning to become pregnant then you should start taking care of your health before you conceive and throughout your pregnancy.
Sometimes it also happens that you come to know about your pregnancy a little late and all these while your diet pattern was also the same as it was earlier. But you should make sure that you follow a balanced and healthy diet during the firth month and follow it throughout to ensure that your fetus is also fine.
As pregnancy comes it comes along some with some pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness or may be nausea. All these trouble might also affect your eating habits. But even if you do not like eating you should try to eat a variety of food and also ensure that you are getting the right amount of nutrients that are required at this stage.
Your diet should contain right amount of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals. Instead of eating big you should try and take food in regular interval with small quantity.
Always try and eat only that food that is easy to digest. Food that is low fat sources like pastas, rice bread etc is good during pregnancy. Avoid eating junk and fried and spicy food especially during the first month of pregnancy because it will increase the problem of nausea and vomiting more.
Drink a lot of water but you should drink water between your meals and not while you is eating. Avoid intake of caffeine during the first few months of your pregnancy only because it might increase the risk of miscarriage or may even cause miscarriage. Milk and other dairy products are the best source that supplies calcium to your body which is also very essential once you conceive.
Some women have symptoms like gas, indigestion or diarrhea after eating or drinking dairy products. In such case you can consult your doctor and ask for some medicine that is calcium supplements.
