Do not become overweight as obese people have more chances of developing varicose veins. Also try to avoid hot baths and excessive exposure to the sun.

If you contract the condition of varicose veins during pregnancy, then many methods including surgery can be followed to treat them. Massaging your foot is an excellent idea. While sleeping, place pillows under your legs and keep them elevated. Elastic stockings specially designed for reducing the discomforts caused by varicose veins should be worn.

If you have a preexisting condition of varicose veins, then it is better to get rid of them by surgery so as to reduce the inconvenience during the time of your pregnancy
